Bruce Graham is an artist living and working in the North East of Scotland, and it is from the dramatic and varied Scottish scenery that he derives much of his inspiration.
Coastline seascapes with the cliffs and rock formations lending themselves to the use of palette knives to create layers of texture are a particular favourite. The special quality of the light of the northern skies, the endless variety of cloud formations and atmospheric skies are also reflected in much of his work. While many of the landscapes are based on actual locations, some have simply evolved from his imagination.
He is always keen to experiment with colours and textures and the interplay of light and dark to bring his subjects to life.
Bruce works mainly in oils, using both brush and palette knife to create paintings with style and depth.
