The ‘Raison D’être’

Colinton Arts was established in 1981 in the village of Colinton to offer professional advice and a personal service for all aspects of picture framing, cleaning and restoration. Our gift shop, gallery and workshop are all located in Colinton Village, one of the most picturesque villages in Edinburgh. For the residents of the neighbouring villages of Juniper Green, Currie and Balerno we are a natural choice. Our location at the Dreghorn exit to the City Bypass makes us convenient and free street parking is available. Corstorphine and all The Lothians are within easy reach.

Picture Framing and Conservation

With expert understanding of professional presentation and conservation practices, we are available to advise and discuss your needs, ensuring that your chosen piece is framed not only at the appropriate level, but also complimenting the work in the environment it is to be displayed. Contemporary or classic art, football shirts, tapestries, certificates, and needlework can be framed in a wide array of styles and colours with meticulous attention to detail. We frame artwork for art galleries, museums, universities and sports bodies as well as interior designers, collectors, artists, and photographers not only in Edinburgh but throughout Lothians and Scotland.
