Alan Cameron is a Scottish artist and graduate of Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee and The University of Edinburgh. His main areas of work are the Scottish landscape, Italy and portraiture. Alan's work is figurative and interpretative and seeks to capture the essential ingredients of his subjects, their form, texture, colour and temperature. 

Locations in Italy have been largely centred in Tuscany, Umbria and Liguria. This is now extended to Venice. Nearer home, The Borders, the West and East Coasts, including Northumberland, remain the main focus. Recently, this has spread to the Pentland Hills.
