Margaret is a contemporary Scottish artist known internationally for her evocative landscapes. Working primarily in pastels mixed with oils and water, she draws her inspiration from the dramatic skies, mountains and seasonal woodland spots that surround her.

 

From her studio near Crieff, Perthshire, Margaret uses a deft mix of light, depth and tone to draw out the natural beauty of her environment. Through teaching and travelling widely, Margaret has also learnt to use bolder tones and colour in her work, inspired by the many great artists she met along the way.
