Lois Calder

Lois Calder is the designer, silversmith and maker behind Tangle & Haar, creating handcrafted jewellery from her home studio in Montrose on Scotland’s east coast. Inspired by the textures, movement, light and stories of the shoreline, her work explores twisting kelp, rippled sand, weathered surfaces and sea-worn glass. She works primarily in silver, alongside copper, brass and locally collected Scottish sea glass, using recycled materials where possible. Each piece is individual — a unique, wearable expression of Scotland’s changing coast.
