About Fiona Davidson

Fiona came to the world of art comparatively late in life, having spent many years in the world of finance. She started her artistic training with the Edinburgh Atelier of Fine Arts, and then withJuliette Aristides via the Aristides Atelier. She loves landscape painting, particularly in Scotland, though happy to venture further afield when opportunity presents. Typically she will start a piece with a plein air study and then take that back to the studio to develop the idea.  This gives her the opportunity to enjoy both the outdoors and painting, though the Scottish weather can be a challenge at times. Her intention is to try and share a sense of how she sees the world around her, the muted ethereal landscapes evoke a sense of mystery and calmness, whilst subtly hinting at layers of drama.
